Manipulation

For all of the following photos I went into Photoshop and played around in the images and adjustments section. In that section you can adjust the photos by changing the Brightness/Contrast, Levels, Curves, and Exposure. You can actually use even more changing tools to fiddle around with the photos but those are the four that I used most. The tool that really changed the most was probably the Levels tool.

In point form. Here are a couple basic ways to modify our photo.
 Brightness/Contrast
-Changes the brightness of the photo and makes certain parts darker.
 Levels
Can change or entire photo and make it a lot darker than it needs to be but is good for making the photo brighter and more vibrant
 Curves
-Changes the photo for if you want the photo to be more faded or more exact.
 Exposure
-Fine lines certain parts of the photo to make parts stand out or fall back behind other and hide.

This is my Terry Fox Poster for the ACSS Terry Fox run

                                                           What is Thanksgiving?
In Canada, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October every year. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving in celebration of a successful harvest. We celebrate due to the harvest instead of Pilgrims and settling in a new world because of the simple fact that the harvest happens earlier in Canada than the U.S.

What is Thanksgiving to me and my family?
Thanksgiving is a day off work and school for my family. Usually with a big turkey dinner on the Sunday before Thanksgiving Monday with the leftovers for dinner on the Monday. I always enjoy thanksgiving just because the dinners are always the best dinners of the year. They always have great recipes like this.

Terry Fox Foundation

Terrance Stanley Fox (Terry Fox) was born July 28th 1958, He was just another average teenage athlete growing up in high school with a dream of playing basketball. One day his coach recommended Terry trying cross country running. That was the beginning of Terry Fox' s story.

In 1977 Terry Fox found out he had osteosarcoma cancer and had to have his right leg amputated. After three years of winning wheelchair basketball national championships he started the marathon of hope. The marathon of hope was a cross-country run to raise money for cancer research. Terry Fox hoped to raise a total of 24 million dollars which would be 1 dollar per Canadian.

He started the marathon of Hope April 12th 1980 in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Every day he ran 42 kilometers, which is equivalent to a marathon a day. Terry hoped to run from St. Johns all the way to Victoria, British Columbia. Sadly However, while running through Ontario, Terry found out the cancer had spread to his lungs and was forced to stop the running. His hopes of completing the marathon ended when he died of the cancer June 28th, 1981 in Thunder Bay.

To this day annual Terry Fox runs are still held around the country in memory of Terry Fox and in hope to raise enough money for cancer research to end cancer. Terry Fox will always be remembered as one of the most amazing Canadians of all time.
